Review on 🎙 AVerMedia AM310: Ultimate USB Microphone for Recording, Streaming, and Podcasting by Steven Doty

This site seems to have mixed reviews on a lot of different products; This is for AM310 USB Microphone. I used a very good webcam to record but the sound wasn't perfect so I bought an AM310. It makes quite a big difference - the subtle hiss is gone, the cardioid pickup pattern doesn't pick up much ambient noise, and my voice sounds warm on the recording. As my friend said, "It sounds like I'm in the room." As expected, I just plugged it into my Mac and changed the mic input and it worked right away. Built-in screens (two layers) seem to work well as pop filters, so give them a try before adding one. The base is weighted and feels pretty solid - much better than the cheap tripods that come with some mics. The microphone itself also seems to be quite robust. It's nice that the volume control on the monitor doubles as a very handy mute button. A very minor issue is that the LED, which glows blue when the microphone is active and red otherwise, is very bright. I have to cover him for the night. But these are small things. A very good microphone.
