Works but not as expected
My mute buttons didn't work at all. If a simple handset is connected, you can listen but not speak. I think that's to be expected since the adapter isn't getting power. With 2 headsets, both users can self-talk and control their mute with one button on the headset, making the need for a mute button pointless. I could buy a $5 adapter that would do the same job. No noise or connection issues. Worked for what we needed it for.
