Honestly I haven't used this in a long time. I'll update later with a long term usage review if there are any issues. As long as it works My previous one (other brand) blew the fuses and messed up the connection in my car so I had to replace the charger/ashtray area. I know that's a very low bar, but it's worth mentioning. My guess is that the main part pivots in two directions away from the stem (the part of the straight tube that goes into the cigarette lighter/12v socket). Many others only turn in one direction. I also appreciate that the fuse slot is on the outside, making it much easier to swap out fuses (3 along with mine) if needed. Having switches to turn the 12v sockets on and off is definitely a nice touch.
