Good tool, not as accurate as I would like but not too bad. The only way to be sure is to test it with a known good torque tool. Torque tools are calibrated in my shop from time to time, so I know the value of this information. I tested this tool with a freshly calibrated torque wrench and it differs by 8-12% from high to low. There is no way to calibrate this tool. To be as accurate as possible, I take the tool and compare directly to my standard inch-pound torque wrench to get the adjustment I need to get my spokes an accurate fit. It works great if you really know what your true torque value is. One thing that anyone using adjustable tightening tools should keep in mind is that when you are finished with the tool loosen it to a minimum before storing. In this way, the accuracy of the instrument remains close to correct over longer periods of time.
