Bought to replace a worn original. As others have said, the new remote feels a lot better than the original. I wasn't concerned about the lack of a battery as I carry a 2032 battery as part of my work accessory. However, they are expensive and should be included. Pairing was a repeated attempt until I realized how I was holding the remote was the problem. I accidentally clicked the back and forward buttons more than the green and red buttons because they are rocker buttons. After I corrected myself, they connected the first time. I'd bet a lot of the "doesn't fit" issues have more than a little to do with it.
