There were 2 in the pack although the description said it was a pillowcase. This is a very thin vinyl. It makes a little crunchy noise, but not that much. I bought this because my dog kept pissing on his dog bed. I decided to start with a clean slate, buy a new dog bed and try on the vinyl cover with the pillowcase on it. I finally found a solution! Urine does not ooze onto the dog's litter. All I have to do is change my pillowcase and wipe down the vinyl cover. Perfect for what I need. There is a star deduction for the squeaking noise. I understand that most people will not use this as a dog bed; However, I thought it would be useful to know that they are effective in protecting against a significant amount of liquid.
