I bought this dress for my daughter to wear as a flower girl. I followed the size chart and ordered the right size for a 2 year old (and she's over 2). The dress was still big. Luckily I have a seamstress in my family and she was able to fix it. She noticed that the dress was made of brine when she was fixing it. Not bad for the price. I noticed that when the back was closed, the zipper caught the cord and frayed it. I just cut it off and it looked great. The belt is cute and the brooch is really pretty. If my family hadn't had a seamstress, I would have lived in a creek without a paddle. You may have better luck with an older child, but they are large and not designed for long periods of time. Once or twice is fine. Now that mine has been changed my daughter will be wearing it again for another wedding. But for the price and the knowledge of the seamstress it was worth it. I didn't have to spend $100 at a bridal shop for a dress my daughter would wear.
