I really like the look of the fabric. This is not a waxy or polyester feel. It looks great on my small table and the lace is good quality, not flimsy or torn. Water forms drops and you can wipe off small drops before they penetrate. Not waterproof but definitely durable. If you're worried about not picking up a drop of liquid I would put a plastic sheet on the back.
