Review on π§ TORQ200 Backing Plate (5 Inch) for Torq TORQ22D by Pete Norris
Good quality, suitable for Bauer (HF) long stroke polishers
This base plate seems to be of excellent quality. I can confirm it fits Bauer 6 In. 7.5A Dual Action Orbital Polisher (Model #56367) from Harbor Freight with no problems and no modifications for installation. I've polished a few slabs and so far it's working great. I use it with Meguiar's microfiber pads and my black color looks better than ever. I can't compare this to a standard 6" backing plate on a buffing machine, I haven't tried it as I don't have any 6" pads other than the one supplied. However, it seems to work great with a 5 inch base plate and pads.
