Victorinox are the best and most affordable western style knives in the business. If you like western style knives (soft belly, double bevel) these are the best value. These steak knives are no exception. Quality where it matters. These knives have cheap looking plastic handles but are textured for a comfortable grip. In addition, they are super hygienic. Do whatever you want with them - they don't hold bacteria like wood. The money saved on the pen ends up going into better quality steel, which is what matters. The overall knife is light but strong, inexpensive but sharp. It's perfect for those who are only concerned with having a cheap and reliable steak knife set. I'm afraid there are currently a lot of bad reviews from people buying counterfeits from resellers that are rampant. Make sure you're buying a genuine product (made by Revain) or at least have the packaging ready for returns. My last 2 purchases were exactly the same products and quality as the Victorinox chef's knife I used for the last one. I do not know. 6 years? I need to check my order history. It's been ages and I've never had a complaint. I have just received a 10 inch chef's knife and steak knives and they are all exactly the same quality as the original.
