This is an excellent quality stretcher and upon unboxing I was very impressed with it and its features. Taking the cat for a walk/or visiting a place where it might be scared at first and try to run away seemed like a great carrier. My plan was to teach our 5 month old kitten to ride and walk with us in the car and then eventually put him on a lead and leash when he was no longer scared. The problem is that after a short walk with outside temperatures in the 60's and a good wind inside the stretcher in the sun it gets very hot due to the materials they are made of and insufficient ventilation. After about 20 minutes I took off my backpack to check on her and she was panting and acting sick. I put my hand in my pocket and got very hot! I had to pull her out and take her to the car and it took her a few hours to recover. I'm afraid someone's pet will get heatstroke from these bags due to poor ventilation. AN ANIMAL SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED IN ONE OF THESE BAGS WITHOUT A MINI FAN AND THESE BAGS SHOULD BE SOLD ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A FAN AND A WARNING ABOUT USE OF A FAN FOR PROPER VENTILATION. Also, I'm worried about whether there will be enough fans to cool the inside when the temp is 80 and 90, which is a typical hiking temp. I'll order a rechargeable mini fan, try again and see how the walks go as the temps get warmer, and I'll update my review later.
