These Klein wire strippers have proven to be dependable and dependable. The action of the spring is soft and quickly returns to normal. Able to cut and strip 8-22 AWG wire although I mostly use them for 10-14 gauge which they handle competently. The "cutter" works well, but most of the time I use a separate pair of cutters for a number of reasons. First, as another reviewer mentioned, I often cut long lengths of wire on a spool, like 10 feet or so, and it's easier than running it through a hole on these wire strippers. The second reason is that I tend to forget that the cutter even exists. I've used it a few times but it worked fine. For me, the sweep action worked really well. The only time it doesn't strip properly is when I put the wire in the wrong slot. The description says it can shoot up to an inch and I tend to agree. These strippers are pleasant to the touch and have comfortable handles. They are so simple and easy to use that it will be difficult not to like them. I would definitely recommend them to both homeowners and electricians. I've noticed others have asked where they are made, mine says Taiwan. In the attached photos I used one AA battery for reference. Hope that helps.
