Description of Klein Tools 11063W Heavy Duty Wire Stripper/Cutter: Automatic Tool for 8-20 AWG Solid & 10-22 AWG Stranded Electrical Wire

Wire Stripper and Cutter cuts and strips 8-20 AWG solid and 10-22 AWG stranded wire with ease. Compound action stripping: grip and strip via single-action squeezing motion. Precision machined stripping holes easily remove insulation without damaging the wire. Removes up to 1-Inch (25 mm) in length of the insulation layer (jacket layer) in a single step. Tension loaded wire-grip gently holds the cable while retaining cable geometry.

Don't waste time buying the Irwin version

Don't waste time buying the Irwin version. I did this and sent it back a day later because it worked about 80% of the time. Klein's tool costs seven dollars more, but works 100% with no extra movements and no need to strip the wire two or three times. It's cool and nobody pays me for my opinion.

Excellent wire stripping up to 10 AWG.

I love this tool, it's the easiest way to strip wires. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't think it works properly on 8AWG wire. The largest wire I can strip cleanly is 10 AWG. if that says 10-22AWG then that's a five star tool to me. Wire cutters are also excellent, but note that you can only cut wire that goes through the tool. In other words, it cuts, not cuts, because if you need to cut, say, a 100-foot cable in half, you have to run the 50-foot cable through…

These wire strippers may not work with all types of 22 gauge stranded wire

I received these wire strippers a few minutes ago. We bought this with the intention of using it to strip 22 gauge stranded wire. According to everything written on Revain and on the Klein website, it should strip my wire properly. However, when inserted into the smallest hole, it does not expose it. It slides over the insulation and shaves some of it off, but it's like a 1% oversized hole. If you need it for 22 gauge wire, be aware that it may not work as advertised. I've already called Klein…

Well built, comfortable and easy to use.

These Klein wire strippers have proven to be dependable and dependable. The action of the spring is soft and quickly returns to normal. Able to cut and strip 8-22 AWG wire although I mostly use them for 10-14 gauge which they handle competently. The "cutter" works well, but most of the time I use a separate pair of cutters for a number of reasons. First, as another reviewer mentioned, I often cut long lengths of wire on a spool, like 10 feet or so, and it's easier than running it through a hole

Uh, I like it.

I think it works fine. For example, I'm not going to write a long review praising the merits of this particular tool, so here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Well-fitted, hardened and sharpened cutting blades that can be easily replaced by the user - Comfortable grips - Enables the quick stripping of most wire sizes. Easily cuts most wire sizes. Basically, it looks high quality, works smoothly, inspires confidence in longevity. taller - doesn't handle thinner wire perfectly and sometimes it's…

Great wire strippers

I've used them at work before but haven't had them yet. I ended up buying it for my own use. I love these wire strippers. You align the wire with the correct stripping slot by visually comparing the size of the conductor to the appropriate stripping slot. Then with a light pressure-click the wire is stripped cleanly. The length of stripping is determined from where you insert the wire into the stripping slot to the end - it can be as long or as short as you like. There are some limitations. The

Great tool! in Power & Hand Tools

I am in school to be an airplane mechanic and part of my education was hooking up various electrical devices. Part of this involves cutting and stripping wires. The Klein wire strippers are the best I've ever used. In the past I've mostly used a pliers-type wire stripper and I've always had trouble stripping, especially stranded wire. Either the insulation didn't cut all the way through, or some threads broke or were severed. They allow the wire to be stripped quickly and easily. You align the…
