Great shorts for my son! I usually read reviews and sizing info better, but for some reason it occurred to me that they would be small and I bought a size up (now he wears a size 6/7 and I bought a size 7/8). . So yes. You are HUGE for him! But he loves them so much that he wanted to wear them immediately and wouldn't let me exchange them. It's ok, the drawstring helps keep them in place and he can still wear them next summer! Great price and quality and I am happy with my purchase!
