Firstly I don't like the brake controls which are just a button built into the dash. I don't like missing out on a power outlet or dash storage to install something like this. That brings me to Tekonsha. He had great reviews and I went with him. Installation was easy, but I wish they included something other than those pesky flathead screws. Rschunimagu. The connection was fully wired to their Jeep wiring harness which I purchased separately. Everything works great and seems to match up well with the braking level between my truck and caravan. The trailer itself brakes or stops the truck when I press the manual control button, but when I press the brake pedal everything responds appropriately as it should. The LED display shows the current braking performance. There is a short adjustment period when adjusting the timing and sensitivity of the brakes. This is the easiest to install. I like the multi-position plastic mount. This allows me to press it against the dash when not towing. It fits perfectly in my Jeep Gladiator. I decided to put it under the steering wheel, next to the right knee. I can look down and see it slightly, but it doesn't bother me. In short, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and I'm glad I chose it.
