Bought these for mounting an antenna on a metal roof. The supplied bolts are super short entirely useless unless you are planning to mount a piece of paper to the magnet. I purchased M8 bolts that were longer, a few different lengths and none of them would fit more than one turn into the magnets. Even putting the magnet in a channel lock for grip and a wrench for the bolt the bolt only went in about two rotations making me hesitant to use this for mounting anything.

I had some concerns that they might not be strong enough for my intended purpose. I wanted to mount LED panel lights to my overhead duct work, in my basement office, and they hold the ductwork like a champ, even with cables hanging from the lights.In fact, they are SO strong, that I caution to be careful with them. I accidentally put them back to back, and struggled to get them apart. I had to find a plastic tool, to split them apart.

Bought this product to replace cheap magnets that came on a strobe lightbar. Redrilled the holes on my lightbar and attached two of these, now I can drive at highway speeds and my lightbar stays on the truck when I have it up on roof of vehicle.For those that want to know if it hurts the paint, it has not hurt my paint on the vehicle. I do take the lightbar with these magnets off the roof of vehicle when not using and only put it on the roof when using.Gave it 1 star for easy to remove because

These magnets are perfect. The protective coating protects my vehicle and the strength of the magnet is fantastic considering it’s size and weight. I stuck it to the fridge and my wife couldn’t get it off so it’s definitely strong!

I don’t mind them on my SUV’s finish. The rubber protects it quite well. I pull it off straight just to be sure. They only get used when we are off-road and I place night lighting on the roof. When we are done with our fun lights and the magnets are removed and readied for the next outing. They could be left permanent as well as the hold they provide is very strong. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

I love these magnets mounts. I only wish they had 1/4-20 threads instead of metric so I could use them with camera equipment.

I use these to mount solar panels and light bars to my cars. they work incredibly well and don't move around at all once installed. in fact can be very hard to remove! just what i need to make sure the light bar does not going flying off the car roof.

These are very strong magnets when applied to a flat ferrous surface.They work great for the suggested application of magnetically attaching LED lights.Of course they can be used for attaching many other things that can accept the M8 threaded studs.The rubber coating is thick and seems very durable. It won't scratch paint if it doesn't slide around and dirt has gotten under the magnets. It is beneficial to clean the underside of the magnets periodically.Hopefully the rubber coating is UV…

I gave a 4 star for the reason thread size were not the same, i made it work. they are fairly equal in strength with quality construction .

These are advertised as having an M8 hole, but it's not. It's smaller than M8, probably M6. Which might be ok if the bolts they included actually fit, but they included M8 bolts and they don't even fit in the hole! And of course, neither do the longer M8 bolts I bought for this project.

Used to fasten a 40 inch light bar to the set. Applied without any trouble. Very strong magnets leave me completely careless about them coming off. Because they won't. Unless you want them to.

They are NOT kidding about these magnets’ power! Boy, do they STICK! If you are not careful, you can pinch a finger or skin between the magnet and the surface of, say, your car. Took the car to the car wash with multiple agitators, brushes and rollers and sprayers, etc. with a 5 inch light pod attached. Magnets DID NOT MOVE! Not. One. Bit! I am extremely pleased.so far.with this purchase!

I have a minivan that I converted into a camper, and I used four of these to attach my flexible solar panel to its roof so I can easily remove it to stay in, "stealth mode," when I'm urban boondocking.I've been up to 75mph and my solar panel didn't wobble a bit. Great buy!

Very powerful magnets. I use two of these to attach professional cameras to the roof or hood of my car. With 200 lbs of combined forced needed to remove them, I know my property is secure from sudden stops, wind, etc. The bolt screws are not standard for cameras as they are intended to attach lights like police lights to a car's top, but these are nice to adapt a rail system for cameras. I would trust an Alexa Mini with these magnets.

Mounted a 12v fog light to it as a mobile work light. Holds strong on the outside of a vehicle and doesn’t fall off eve when driving. The rubber coating is a nice feature.

Don't stick magents together. Hard to get them apart. Still can't figure how to get them apart without damaging product.
