Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Efficient Chest Front Pouch Holster Vest for Two Way Radio Walkie Talkie - abcGoodefg Radio Harness (Rescue Essentials) by Cole Dutta

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Green is black and dimensions are everything.

I am planning to use this setup for CERT events and with two radio housings I can track two frequencies at the same time. I bought a "green" rig which is black as pictured. There were no instructions or tips included with the product so I had to play around with it for a while to figure out how it all worked. The 2.5 inch velcro in the picture is not for the back but for adjusting the radio housings; The "belt" is a 1 inch elastic. There is only one buckle on the belt (on the right-hand side), so to get dressed, either keep it buttoned up and pull it on like a shirt, or leave it open and pull the belt over your back like we ladies do. do with bra straps. Overall it's comfortable and the size is adjustable (the strap adjuster is behind you on the left, so you'll need a friend's help). There is a plastic D-ring, but it's so low it's unusable. and on the left, which is inconvenient for left-handers. The yellow straps are elastic and allow items to be attached to them (speaker mics) or slipped under (drinking hoses), but they are fixed and will not slide up and down. The two pen slots only fit the smallest pens or pencils, so expect clip-on pens to hang outside. The two radio slots are for radios larger than my 3.5 inch walkie-talkies, so care must be taken not to obstruct the screen, mic button, and ports. The front cover fits 3x4" notepads or field books, but not 4x6" notepads, the RIR CERT Field Manual or the CERT Form Book (note these limitations if you intend to use this case with your smartphone). There is a 5" x 6" zippered pocket on the back of the gear (facing the chest), but it is very small and difficult to access when worn. The reflective strips on the front are nice; some on the back are welcome.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some small things
