I bought this key wondering if it would actually work and was willing to return it if it didn't. I had a locksmith carve it, but they didn't have the most advanced technology to program it. However, they were able to test it to make sure it was programmable, and it was. I gave it to another person who had the technology and it works great. Saved a lot of money by not going to the dealer. Also, I thought I could use the online instructions I found to program it myself and none of them worked. They need to take it somewhere where it can be programmed (they did it in about 10 minutes). Don't go to the dealer to program it, they will overcharge it extremely. Excellent purchase.
