Nice little adapter and when plugged into my motherboard's USB 3.1 Gen2 port the read speed is 1033 MB/s and the write speed is 1020 MB/s in Crystal Disk Mark. That's pretty close to the theoretical maximum for the port, so I'm happy. The adapter is flimsy so handle it with care and I wouldn't use it as a permanent drive adapter where it can easily be knocked over. But for disc duplicating, overwriting, etc. And for the price I think it's worth the money. For something more durable, it makes sense to get an enclosure to protect the drive.
