It looked like a really cool product that is great for travel and to some extent it is. The cable is thick and not very long. I've just used a similar thing in the past that plugs into the wall and has no cord and it has worked fine. The ideal benefit over one that plugs straight into the wall without a cable would be longer range. With such a short cable, it doesn't matter. In some cases this design is preferable and I may carry both versions in the future. It's compact, looks well made and works well, but since the cord is so short it doesn't seem to have much of an advantage over a device that plugs straight into the wall and doesn't have a cord.
