Review on BlendMount BMX 2000R Aluminum Detector Escort by Douglas Coronado

Works well so far but has a few complaints and kinks. Hope someone can help me. I installed it myself which took a while as I had to adjust, loosen, tighten and hold the director myself. I look way better than using the big factory sticky cup retainer and looks like a custom fit. I installed it with a straight 12ft Escort/Beltonics smart cable in the photos. I don't have an electric mirror or straight wiring harness so I used super glue and black gorilla tape. My complaints and concerns that I hope someone can share or help me with: 1. The latch is so tight that it takes two hands to turn the radar detector (Max 360) on and off. This moves the entire mirror and mount, changing the tilt angle of the mount and radar detector. This also led to the loosening of hectares. Once the mirror blocked the rear laser detector, once not. At one point, it appears to be pointing right, left, up, and down. I have to constantly adjust it so it doesn't block and look straight ahead. Can someone please help me how to store it in one place.2. Because the whole block is metal, it gets very hot in the sun. I burned myself trying to turn the radar detector on and off. Ouch! Has anyone figured out how to "unclip" the part you have to squeeze to attach the radar detector? I don't want to break or ruin it. This is the only nice feature of the large factory suction cup mount with a magnet inside the detector. You simply put it on and take it off with one hand without trusting the angle. With this blend mount I have to use two hands and burn myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In general, while everything works fine, you only have to deal with the excesses and the problems mentioned above. Anyone can install it like I did in an afternoon, all you need is glue, tape, string in front of you and the patient. Well. However, he left it on the mount when parking, which isn't very smart.
