In general, this is a fairly durable suitcase. I'm pretty picky about everything, so keep that in mind. I used to have a "The Ridge by Devicewear" case which I will use for comparison purposes. I chose this Fintie case because the faux leather on my old one fell apart after about 3 years of regular use and my 3 year old daughter has been using it more lately so I wanted to choose one with a little more padding. (no need for the crazy BabyProof guy). Pros: (1) it offers a bit more support (no plastic backing like the old one) (2) it has lots of padding (3) it's designed to expand out of the corners/edges to create protective bumper spacing in the event of a fall (4) it has good value compared to my previous case and others on the market. harder-to-use edge swipe features (control panel, app switcher, etc.) (2) the fit isn't great - I pinned it as tight as possible, but it still dangles off the center, making it harder to put on to get to the edges (3), it doesn't have as many viewing angles as my previous case. You can lay it on raw leather and use the friction to hold it in place (less secure) rather than pressing against the leather bumpers, but that's not ideal.
