I bought this item because I needed a lightning USB connector for use with Ipad/Iphone and I wanted something as small as far as possible to connect to the keychain. Overall it seems to work well for my needs. Note. I don't plan on using this for device backup data or large file/group transfers. I'm not sure what the bulk data rate will be. Connections. I thought this had a loop to attach to the keychain, upon inspection it doesn't, so I'll be looking for some sort of USB holder that I can attach to the keychain and plug into it. The device works great with iPad AIR and iPhone SE running the latest versions of their respective iOS. The first time you connect the USB, the device prompts you to download the App Store provider's app. It was a pretty easy process. A provider application is required to access USB content. I was hoping that since this is Apple Mfi certified I could use Apple's own iOS app "Files" to access USB, at least with my iPhone SE (Ipad Air doesn't support the latest/best iOS that can access USB provides). Not sure if this will be the case with newer Apple hardware or not, perhaps the vendor can comment or update the list. It would be nice not to use the provider app and use the native files app instead, or at least have the provider app "file aware" so that it can show up as a location in the files app. The app works well, although I didn't use many of the features, mainly the browsing and sharing features. I looked at three blocking options (App, Lights, USB) within the app and the ones that require carrier registration to use those features, I'm not sure why that's necessary, so I gave up trying to enable those features use. For using lightweight USB, I also used the USB port to access the USB through a regular computer, which worked fine. Overall I'm happy with the product for what I need and the main feature for me compared to alternatives is the small size.
