Review on Silicon Power Performance Internal SP240GBSS3S56B25AZ by Ryan Lindstrom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

*CHECK EDIT* - Honestly, this is a gem. I'm a new fan!

I bought this thing with a little doubt in me that it would suck simply because I had never heard of this manufacturer before, never heard of a youtuber or reviewer mentioning it in mentioned in any assembly guide. But when I first started looking I was on a tight budget for a friend, I was a bit overwhelmed when I looked at the prices of SSDs although to be honest they are all pretty much the same, but then I came across Silicon Power When I saw the specs and the price of this thing, I just tossed it in my shopping cart and bought it straight away. And as much as I hate to admit it, it runs just as fast and just as fast as my $130+ HyperX Savage. It might not look that cool or weigh that much, but it definitely is cool*! PS: sorry for the crappy quality pics, that's exactly what I got my hands on! EDIT/*Though I still agree with what I said. I only had to deduct a star. After a bit of use, copying, pasting, installing games, etc., I saw the true colors of this SSD. So you can see from the pictures I've attached I was trying to copy a game from my WD Black hard drive to this green SSD. The system became literally unusable, the system lag was beyond insane, the mouse stuttered like crazy, everything loaded FOREVER. I checked Task Manager while copying and SSD "Response Time" explained everything. 36-70% that is. not at all how it should be. The SSD should write much faster than the HDD read. And as you can see, the copy speed was consistently around 116MB/s, which is low, it should be around 165MB/s (maximum HDD read speed). But anyway, when I tried to read other game files from the source (if you recognize existing game files), the SSD gave me the expected performance, as you can with photos tagged "ORIGIN INSTALL". */

Cons
