That was not Panasonic, but a generic made in China.
These were not made by Panasonic but universally made in China. My remote got so hot because the battery wouldn't stop charging. It was 24 hours, and although the phone indicated the battery was charged, it didn't stop charging. The phone's battery indicator never changed color to green. Because it felt so hot I took it out, concerned it might pose a fire hazard. Genuine Panasonic batteries are made in Canada and last a long time. Would never buy these again.
