I originally bought the CamKix BT remote shutter last year mainly because it was a few bucks less than the Mooni at the time. Guilty! Read my CamKix review - it didn't fully work the second time I tried to use it. The Mooni appears to be very strong and durable and is far superior to the CamKix in terms of construction, docking options and functionality. Love it! UPDATE 12/26/2018: I just tested the auto-off feature, almost exactly 10 minutes of inactivity passed before the auto-off. The problem is that the indicator light is so small and the delay between flashes is so long that it's sometimes difficult to immediately tell if it's actually on or not. Since both sides of the trigger look and feel nearly identical, it's also difficult to know which side to look at the display from. So I just made a little arrow out of reflective tape to point at the indicator so I can find and see it better. Otherwise absolutely delighted!
