As a PC user, I have tried all known applications and programs to easily transfer videos and photos from iPhone (now on ios 13). Some work until there is some sort of update from the app company or from Apple. Then all bets were void. But this thing is THIS THING. F-ing works and works great. There's a Lightning connector on one end and a full-size, standard USB connector on the other. And when neither is used, both connectors are protected by a metal case. To use it, connect it and go to the App Store to download a small piece of code that enables the connection. The user interface is clean and understandable even for a two-year-old child. Okay, maybe not that easy, but you get the idea. You select files from your albums and then click the arrow to transfer photos and boom files to your flash drive. Then remove the USB plug and transfer to the PC. So easy. Finally, there is a way to free up more storage space on your iPhone.
