Used in a build where the user wanted a clean, mostly white look. These extensions worked great. Remember these are not replacement cords, they plug into existing power cords. They work with almost any power supply. It's a cheap way to get rid of those ugly ketchup/mustard power cords. It can also offer longer range or more routing options if you have a large suitcase. I used it in a mATX case, so I had to hide a lot of extra power cables. It doesn't matter as the user won't see it anyway, they just see the clean front view. I think the clear cable combs that come with the cables will suffice. If you don't need clear combs, be sure to purchase them separately. FYI, use them in a fresh build. For some reason the computer would not boot when the VGA power extension cables were connected. First I had to connect the original VGA power cables to boot the system. Once I got into the BIOS to do my usual setup, I powered it off, plugged the extension cables back in and now the system boots normally. I'm not sure if it's the cables, my particular hardware setup, or the old GTX 580 graphics card I used for the initial setup. All in all, it was an easy fix if this happened to you. The cables still work and look great.
