I ordered this mini ball head to use with my monopod and top level scope. It fits both a monopod and a camera as a standard mount. It feels tight and secure. Don't worry, it won't support the weight of my camera. I was able to successfully position the camera in any direction I could think of, and it held that position throughout the shoot. A few points to note: only one screw that tightens both left and right rotation of the camera, as well as up and down angle. From a functional point of view, however, this is not a problem for my monopod, which should be kept in mind if this is important to you. Second, it doesn't have a detachable clip for quick camera removal. To attach and detach the camera, you must completely unscrew or unscrew it from the ball head. Not very convenient when you want to quickly switch from a handheld device to a monopod. That's the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. Overall this is a solid, heavy and well built product. I would recommend it.
