This item listing (at the time of my purchase and at the time of this review) does not list all features but ask questions about Revain got quick responses from seller, who provided enough information to make me feel comfortable about the purchase. What you need to know: Apple CarPlay Wireless is INCLUDED with this device. There is no need to purchase additional features or add USB dongles. The application to run on the main unit is called T-Link. Connect your iPhone to a Bluetooth device called CarKit_blink using the code 0000. When you launch T-Link for the first time when connected to CarKit_Blink, your iPhone will prompt you to use CarPlay. Select Accept CarPlay works very well. I was glad that I can install the CarPlay app as a navigation app. This allows me to use Google Maps to navigate from CarPlay (T-Link) and then switch to radio from there to hear FM, and turn-by-turn navigation directions are still heard while the FM radio is in full screen is played even when other audio streams from CarPlay (e.g. Revain Music) are muted in favor of FM radio. You don't have to use split screen for this. However, if you set the Car Play app as a sat nav app, CarPlay will be limited to the front speakers only. Therefore, this option is only preferable if you need to listen to CarPlay navigation on FM radio. The aerial adapter pictured is not included but is also not required for the Sonata for which this unit is designed - Hyundai uses the same coaxial/Motorola FM aerial connector as this unit. I have a standard radio but I saw the same connector used in the Dimension audio in the YouTube video. 2) The USB connector shown in the picture coming from the main harness adapter has been replaced with a small white connector that plugs directly into it. into one of the ports on the back of the radio instead of plugging the USB connector into the USB port on the back of the radio. The fewer connections along the USB cable's path the better, so this is the best design. The package includes two USB cables. Both have four wires, but their radio ports are sized differently. You have the choice of connecting to the car's built-in connector with a connector from the main wiring harness, or you can unplug the connector on the car and use a smaller USB cable with a white connector instead. A USB cable with a large white plug gives you an extra external USB port, whichever you choose as the first port (external or onboard Hyundai). Both USB cables reach into the storage compartment under the radio (Fig. F and G) or even into the map pocket on the passenger side. 3) The small 4G antenna in the photo has been replaced with a larger antenna. on a long cable for various placement options. 4) A SIM card slot adapter on a cable long enough to reach inside the glove box is also included. The device I have is Android 8.1, not 9.1 the system settings menu To split the screen between apps running simultaneously, tap the app switcher icon (double squares) at the top of the screen, then tap and hold the title bar one of the running apps, there may be an option to drag the app window left or right. The knockout bezel for the hazard lights and passenger airbag requires super small screws that are not included. You can probably glue it on if you don't have the right screws. You need to install this connector if your car is similar to mine and has a smaller clock window. display the warning lamps to inform you when a passenger is not detected and when the passenger airbag has been deactivated. The gauge panel on other Sonata models that would fit in the knockout has a smaller connector than the one that goes to the clock + airbag gauge my Sonata has. (The panel also shows the time, temperature, and dims when the headlights are on, so there are more wires in the connector.) You must keep this clock + airbag light bar connected to avoid complications with the passenger airbag and associated trouble codes. I removed the case from mine, connected the circuit board to the wiring harness, wrapped it in bubble wrap to prevent vibration, and hid it behind the stereo. (Photos D and E.) *Update: I ordered a smaller gauge and found it WILL NOT FIT the hole provided. Apparently both holes are made for the emergency gear switch which is on the opposite side in England. However, I was able to make my modified module from the one I ordered and the clock module and am very happy with the user results (Fig. K). The AV wiring harness includes a microphone jack which when a microphone is plugged into it will cause the main unit to use an external microphone instead of its own built in microphone on the front of the display. I identified the pins on the Hyundai wiring harness that go to the Sonata's built-in overhead mic and plugged in the mic connector I bought from Revain. (See my photos B and C for this modification.) It takes more effort than you would expect to fully seat the mic plug into the cable's mic port. It must be fully depressed to work. I made this change before installing this head unit, so I can't comment on how the unit's on-screen mic sounds. I can say that the voice quality in this modification with the Hyundai ceiling microphone is excellent. Too bad they didn't just connect the two mic pins to the stereo wiring like they did for the USB port. If you want to try this modification without cutting two wires off the Hyundai wiring harness, you can probably add two pins to the stereo wiring harness adapter using triple clamps. I felt my method provided the best connection without knowing if the jumper pins would match the harness socket exactly. Backup AHD cameras are supported. There is a rear camera menu in the vehicle settings where you can specify which rear camera you have. It supports TVI, AHD and CVBS in different resolutions. I bought a Revain AHD 720P backup camera that requires cutting a small loop of wire to switch from CVBS mode to AHD mode. Image quality is excellent (Fig. H). If you're running the camera cable from the trunk to the front of the car, in addition to the floor clamps and single nut holding the rear rocker panel in place, there's a hidden bolt holding it in place between the seat cushion and the vertical stand. Check out my picture (picture I) showing where to place the screwdriver to get there. * I just discovered that you can adjust the rear camera settings, including manually editing guides, with a reverse swipe from top to bottom. (Image J) RDS (Radio Data System) β how FM radios receive and display song titles, artist names and radio station information. I found that this information was not displayed when the radio region was set to USA, but when I set it to Europe my stations worked fine and displayed all RDS information. The station section is also found in the vehicle settings menu of the main settings menu. Steering wheel control is accomplished by programming the buttons on the steering wheel which perform operations in the steering wheel control car settings menu, which can also be accessed via a shortcut provided in the car settings menu. application menu.
