I was an early DV user and have been filming with it since 1998. I've always used good quality tape and problems have been very rare. I received my first 80 minute cassette from Panasonic in a special 3 pack along with two 60 minute tapes. I was very skeptical about the 80 minute tape because thinner tape can cause problems. Don't worry, I've NEVER had a problem with the Panasonic 80 minute tape and I've used hundreds. Now I only buy 80 minute blanks, that extra 20 minutes of recording helped me keep recapturing the best moments that I would still be fooling around trying to put in another tape if I was shooting in the 60's . I'm looking forward to going tapeless, but until I buy them, Revain makes it so easy.
