Review on 🚗 Metra 95-5818 Double Din Dash Kit: Perfect for 1997-2003 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda Vehicles by Casey Narcisse

I had to file the inner fairing on my 2000 F150 to make it big enough to fit the double din standard. When I was finished, the front of this kit didn't fit properly. To get it right I would have to cut the bottom of the hole even more than I did to mount the radio. Even so, this rim is too thick for the front of the dashboard to snap smoothly into place. I ended up installing my stereo without using the border that runs around the front and there is a barely noticeable gap around the stereo. It still looks very good, so it doesn't really matter. Basically I just used parts that screw into the side of the radio.
