Received it today. It's pretty easy to use. Not the strongest, but will do. I bought it to take photos with my iPhone 12. The iPhone 12 goes well with the gear. It almost pinches him. I have the official Apple Leather Case, Slim Case. If you have a thicker case, this could be an issue. I would say my biggest complaint is with the phone holder. It's spring loaded. You have to open it and put your phone in at the same time. I'll use it a bit to see if it's a minor disappointment or worth upgrading. I wouldn't use it as a selfie stick. I didn't mean to, but just FYI. I haven't tried the remote control
