Review on ๐ŸŒ™ Eclipse Swing: Versatile AFrame Bracket for Swing Sets with Onyx Black Finish by Todd Calloway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Durable mounts. Here are my pros and cons.

My experience with these braces so far has been very positive Putting the swing together was a family affair - everyone stared at me! - but the swing actually went pretty quickly. Here's what I think: Pros: 1. Easy to install 2. Exact timber size doesn't matter for these brackets It can be hard to find lumber these days, especially 4x6 joists, so I built my swing with three 2x6 joists planks that are bolted together to make the beam even stronger.(I also inserted a bolt through three planks near each end of the beam.) 3. S make a firm connection with the wood so that the frame does not wobble. 4. I like that the wide angle between the supports means the kit doesn't have to be cemented into the ground. 5. Sufficiently thick steel plate. 6. Powder coating looks nice. I chose brown, but other colors are also available. 7. Good guidance. 8. Additional support is available through their website and email. 9. Made in USA. Cons: 1. Does not include any hardware. This is because the staples work with different sized lumber, so they can't accommodate all possible screw sizes. 2. More expensive than some other brackets.

Pros
  • MADE IN THE USA Constructed of over 1/8" gauge mild steel. High temperature powder coated finish. Wide 60 degree angle between legs. (No need to cast legs in concrete!) (It also means you'll be moving the set to avoid bare patches on the lawn!)
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
