Review on ZORBX Unscented Multipurpose Odor Remover: Powerful, Safe, and Instant - No Harsh Chemicals or Fragrances (16oz) by Radney Taala

I bought this to use on a faux leather chessboard I bought on eBay. As the name suggests, this board is not made out of real leather but rather out of vinyl or plastic, although it does look and feel like leather. The board has a rigid frame and is not a rollable board. When it arrived I smelled a strong smell of smoke. I saw this ZORBX product claiming to be effective against smoke odors and safe on all surfaces. It also claims to be eco-friendly, which should deserve at least one star. First I applied a generous amount of the product to a clean rag and rubbed the board. I still smell smoke. Then I sterilized it right on the board. The face seemed to soak up the liquid and I was afraid it would get dirty, but it ended up drying without a trace. I gently wiped the board while it was still wet. The product description states that it must be in contact with the source of the odor. I still smell the smoke. I may have to use this stuff many times to be effective. I did not see such a clause in the instructions. However, after two liberal treatments, the smoke stench lingers. I have to wonder what the practical use of this product is if it fails this simple test! Conclusion: I wanted to love this product but to be honest I'm not impressed yet. I gave 5 stars for the fragrance because it claims to be fragrance free and it is. At this point I can't think of a good reason to give this product an overall rating of more than two stars. As I said, I gave it one star for being eco-friendly, but its effectiveness has not been proven. If I've missed something, I'd like to know what it is! If anything changes, I'll be happy to correct this review.
