I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own. These baby gates are very good, they do their job very well and they look good too. My 3 year old is absolutely obsessed with anything pink and was delighted when we opened the (well wrapped and protected) box. The gate was incredibly easy to install, only took me about 10 minutes and was very secure once in place. I'm not worried about my 1 year old leaning on it and falling off the whole thing. It would be convenient for me to install it at the top of the stairs. It comes with small switches at the base. So if you want to mount it on a stair, it can be set up not to open over the stair. It is very important to me that we have a gate that my 3 year old can open himself so we can prevent the child going down the stairs/to the bathroom/etc but still allow the 3 year old to do so do. After I showed him how to open it, he was able to do it with a little effort. This can be a downside depending on who exactly you're trying to curb, but it's good for us. The only thing I would like to improve about this gate is that it doesn't automatically close after opening. As we REALLY want our older child to be able to open it we don't really trust them to make sure it's closed every time and for that reason we probably won't use it in a dangerous place (stairs etc.). ). ) to go for our youngest child. That being said, auto-close wasn't an advertised feature at all, so I wasn't expecting it and I'm not disappointed that it isn't. functional and stylish and I would buy one myself.
