Review on Dorman Wheel Bolt M14-1.50 - 17mm Hex, 45.5mm Thread Length (10 Pack) for Maybach/Mercedes-Benz Models by Mark Turner

I have a 2014 ML-350 Blue Tec with 20" AMG Sport Pack wheels. The chrome caps came off somewhere along the way, I contacted Mercedes and asked if they had any normal hex head replacements without the disappearing chrome caps, none in their supply chain so the search continued. I found that Mercedes OEM lugs were generally Length: 68mm Seat Type: Spherical Thread Size: M14-1.50 + other detailed specs While searching I found a manufacturer "DORMAN" who made a Made eyelet #610-549 in chrome that met my requirements. In the first photo you can see the Dorman eyelet (left) compared to the OEM Mercedes (right) with the chrome cover missing. The only difference I could tell is that the overall length of the DORMAN eyelet is 2mm shorter than the Mercedes eyelet with a chrome cap, but the picture says it. The real story is only about the height of the cap over the ball seat, not that Length of the shank to the ball seat itself. Whoever says DORMAN cleats look unsightly with their manufacturing marks doesn't bother me as they are fitted to my 20" rims. Keep in a Mercedes OEM wheel lock box which also includes a wheel lock slot I (3) DORMAN LUGS as spares and then cut out the white plastic insert to accommodate the new 17mm Allen socket I purchased from Revain = TEKTON 47750 1/2" drive. Eventually I ordered in case of a flat Street a Uxcell spare tire L-shaped wrench with 17mm hex head and inserted into the spare tire well Basically, I feel a lot better knowing that my wife and I have one fix a flat tire on the road, or any tire for that matter.
