
The name indicates that it is a 6 amp power supply. However, this is an exaggeration. This is a 4 amp power supply capable of supplying 6 amps in the event of a momentary overload. In the photo you can see that it is marked DCV24-4. 4 - current rating. The 6A version of this power supply is DCV24-6 and the 9A version is DCV24-9. In practice, this means that the power supply will support devices that draw DC current up to 4 amps. That means about 96 watts (P=EI according to Ohm's law: 24 x 4 = 96). So it's not enough for the full power of a 150W amplifier board, but for electronics that require 4 amps DC or less.
