Red SAFT 7.2V NiCD battery replaced. The connector is the same, but this battery pack was 3mm thicker and about 5mm wider. This prevented the retaining clip from snapping into place and the lid from snapping back. I assume a 600mah NiCD battery is slightly smaller than a 2200mah NiCD battery, but they are advertised as direct replacements. Especially considering they're supposedly all built on AA batteries. I ordered another battery model from the same brand with a lower mAh count and Ni-CD chemistry to see if this battery would fit. suitable for older devices with nickel-cadmium batteries and without free space in the holder
