No idea what happened. Bought it for the first time 1 year ago. Very durable and feels very durable. I bought 2 calm dates and the glass is very thin and not very strong. It is obvious that when I look at a pair of glasses I can tell which lens was originally bought and which lens was bought later. It's like day and night. Current glasses are very thin and break easily during normal activities (washing in the dishwasher, putting on a shelf). I would avoid them until the quality returns.
