Recommend another person to install

Like the title says, if you want to install this easily than have another person available to install it. As trying to hold up a 5 foot bar horizontally (with curtains on) was a pain. The way you extend this rod is by twisting one end until it's just bigger than the actual space that you need to put it in. The problem however, don't hold this rod vertically as the twisted part actually falls back to the base (and the twisting is pretty slow). For that reason I can't really recommend this to someone who's trying to do this by themselves, you can do it, but if the rod actually stayed put when putting it in place than this would get a much higher score.Pros:- Sturdy enough when it's in place- Hasn't broke yetCons:- Installing it requires additional pair of hands- Having to twist it to size while holding it in place horizontally (5 feet) with two full curtains on it.- Could be a pro or a con, but the spring is very stiff. Which means it holds the tension once extended, but that means the give it has is very small. So you almost have to do micro-turns once you've gotten it to size. All in all, you get what you paid for.Does it work? YesIs it more work than what you think? Yes

Pros
  • Good price and looks nice.
Cons
  • The tension may not be strong enough for some users
