I ordered this product to replace my Rift S Touch Controller OEM strap. I didn't like how the OEM straps would twist, bunch, and loosen during a hard gaming session like the Beat Saber. I wanted something that would stay tight and not clump even if it might curl up on freezing controllers. Those are the straps. They have a thick fabric strap that doesn't make my wrists sweaty, connected with two small "threads" that allow the straps to swivel but not twist. The fabric part is tightened with a toothed clasp that secures the strap on your wrist. They didn't move AT ALL and the straps easily withstood a rough Beat Saber session. Nothing thickens, nothing breaks, nothing. Needless to say these are my straps now, there is no reason to use OEM straps. Installing on controllers is easy. Simply disconnect the old straps by removing the battery cover and pulling the straps up and out. Insert the new ones sideways (top to bottom) and they snap into place. They came out when I replaced the battery. Simple enough to just put them back in place. Do not worry. There are a few minor issues. The clasp on the teeth faces to one side, so technically there's only one "right way" to wear them. I drop the controller, turn the lock toward me, insert my hand from left to right, slide the clip up, and lock it. with the free thumb down. Get it wrong and you'll have to use your index or thumb in the opposite direction, which is awkward, especially with a headset. Flicking the lock up instead of down is harder than it sounds. a few final remarks. I'm really concerned that the teeth will wear down the fabric over time, giving it that "fuzzy, frayed" look that the fabric has. I'm also interested in the string gauge. In some games where throwing is important, I literally let go of my controller to throw something like a grenade. I would also like more color options, I want cool green or red straps!
