I have two magnetic algae brushes, a large one for my 29 gallon aquarium and this small round one for my 5 gallon Betta aquarium. First, the brush magnet was strong and held tightly to its external counterpart even with hard hits through the reservoir glass. Its size allowed me to hold it comfortably, but since the magnetic brush is "mini", those with larger hands may not have the same experience. Although it was meant for my smaller tank, I ended up using it at the bottom of the larger one; It was the right size/height to clear the space between the glass and the gravel. In the end, I am very happy with the overall performance of the Ceavmlsr Mini Aquarium Magnetic Brush. Although it took some effort, the brush effectively removed algae and other deposits on the glass without leaving scratches or marks, just clean, clear glass. Because of its features and dimensions, the brush is best suited for cleaning tanks up to 3 gallons, or for spot cleaning large tanks between regularly scheduled maintenance.
