My 7 year old daughter loves to sew and these are perfect for her first tools! She is very small but these scissors are great for cutting fabrics from fleece to denim, quilting cotton and tulle. I believe that when learning the craft, children should have proper tools, but at an appropriate scale and with safety equipment where possible. Because they cut to the tip, they work the same as my full-size Fiskars and Gingher scissors, but the rounded tip and shorter blade length make them more convenient for a child. Bought these for all my younger students.
