I didn't want to try this product at first after reading some of the reviews. However, I thoroughly mixed the two-component solution and then mixed some more based on feedback, which I find critical. I built a 4" x 2 1/2" box that was 2 1/2" deep, placed a quarter inch of clay in the bottom and placed my shaped head on top of the clay. The mixture was then slowly poured over the Cast head of the sculpture, tapping the box from time to time to get rid of bubbles If you use a wooden box like me you will need to seal it as the material is almost as viscous as water and will leak out, not very fun .When the mortar had set I turned the box over, removed the backing, removed the clay and carefully pulled out my plaster copy of Paris.Excellent detail.
