Easy to use but hard to estimate how much silicone you need

I was trying to mold pieces of fruit and I had one deep mold and two shallow molds. I mixed the silicone and it bonds easily. Unfortunately I didn't have enough to mix the deepest form which I tried first. So I poured it into the next deep one, and it still wasn't enough! So I only got the smallest of the whole set. It's been a long time since I've tried to make one of these. Great product but now I'm torn between reordering or trying to find something cheaper.

Great product, be careful what you are trying to shape

This is amazing! This was my first time using liquid silicone and the directions made it pretty reliable. I am very happy with my forms and plan to do more. One thing that might be helpful is suggestions for materials that can make good shapes - I used an enamelled/metal needle, two pieces of hardened cast clay and a small cast eraser - the first three are beautifully shaped but the eraser has sticky marks leave both sides. subject and form. You mention that chemical interactions can occur with

Makes beautiful shapes and is easy to use

I have used other molding materials and am very happy with them. Like many others, it's a 1:1 mix of parts A and B, making it easy to use. There was more than enough time for the potty. I think the allotted time was around 12 hours, although I only left my forms alone for a day to be sure. The molds come off the molds fairly easily without a mold release agent. This material is bright orange in color. Tear resistance seems pretty good provided the mold is thick enough (about 1/8" to 1/4" in my…

The replica is very good and the mold is reusable

I didn't want to try this product at first after reading some of the reviews. However, I thoroughly mixed the two-component solution and then mixed some more based on feedback, which I find critical. I built a 4" x 2 1/2" box that was 2 1/2" deep, placed a quarter inch of clay in the bottom and placed my shaped head on top of the clay. The mixture was then slowly poured over the Cast head of the sculpture, tapping the box from time to time to get rid of bubbles If you use a wooden box like me…

**Important Tip with UPDATE**

It is very important to note that the mix should not come into contact with anything containing sulfur before it has fully cured, including with tools, as it is is a platinum hardening that has come into contact with tin during hardening. the past or anything containing sulfur will impede healing. You must ensure that when curing clay for a two-component mold, it is noted that it does not contain sulfur. Even my Sargent "Sulphur Free" prevented it from curing, but this could be due to…
