After installing and working with my four camera Hiseeu DVR here on the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras, I decided to add a few more to the system to get a better picture to offer. property and beach. I chose the Hiseeu TZ-HB312 to add to the house at the bottom of the stairs because it has two-way communication that can be used to communicate with people before they go up three flights of stairs. I also preferred this REOLINK Argos 2 camera as I was not satisfied with the communication side of these cameras. I like the new camera packaging as it feels a bit sturdier, albeit a bit larger than other Hiseeu. Cameras I have installed (see picture). Unpacking the box I found all the usual items I would have expected including some weather seals if I was going to connect an ethernet cable to the camera. Unfortunately, there's no plug for the Ethernet port unless you're using a cable. This can become a problem later when I'm at the beach in the winter season from October to February and get spray. We'll have to see how it holds up. I bought two cameras so I'm going to plug in the silicone connector on one to see if that helps. Installation and setup went very smoothly. This camera was the easiest of all the cameras I connected to the NVR base station. I turned it on, scanned the NVR and it showed up. Selected add, then save and it was up and running. The only problem I have is that I can't change the IP address. Every time I change the address it disappears from the NVR configuration and then comes back after another scan but with the default IP address. I always change the last octet to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 etc depending on the camera number. I haven't found a solution to this problem yet, but I'll ask Johnny for help soon. PROS: β’ Video quality is very sharp and clear β’ Night vision is better than other Hiseeu cameras (720p and 1080p) β’ Loud and loud speakers. clear β’ Microphone picks up far end's voice easily β’ Easy to install β’ Good price β’ Best email customer support. CONS: β’ IP address cannot be changed on sticky β’ Bigger camera than others β’ No weather protection unless using an Ethernet port. I'll update this review after a year in the salty, humid air and let you know how it held up and the frequent power surges and outages we have.
