This is the third time I have tried to buy baby shoes for my dog. They are much better than rubber soles as my dog can walk and walk in them just fine. I spent a lot of time making sure I got the right size. I traced my dog's paws on the paper while he was standing and weighed the paper down - Size 6: 1.77 inches (width). I didn't test the water part enough, but my dog acts like he's not even on his feet, which I've never experienced, and they were really cheap compared to the booties I've bought from PetSmart in the past . My dog is a mini Jack Russell Pins mix, about 28 pounds. I would have preferred black but only pink was available at the time I bought them for him. Before I bought them I walked with him for about 3 minutes and had to carry him home because his paws were cold. We're both glad to have them for those cold New York City winters! My only regret is that I didn't buy them at the beginning of winter as he got fat from not walking much.
