Mounts on the front door. It's good quality and works great. The price was decent too. Has a SmartKey feature that allows you to change the key that the lock uses. The locksmith says people don't typically have trouble changing the key on SmartKey locks as long as they don't lose the little SmartKey tool that makes it possible. He said that sometimes some people still can't change the key even if they use it, so they have to call a locksmith to change the keys for the lock. Class 1 which means it is the strongest burglar resistant lock available. Has a lifespan. Mechanical and finishing guarantee. The locksmith had to work a little longer to install the lock because the front door was a left-hand door, not a right-hand door. Apparently some locks don't have proper parts to work with left hand doors. (I'm right-handed, by the way, haha). I bought it from Amazon for $31.99.
