This is a simple black helmet that can be personalized with markers, stickers, stencils - the possibilities are endless. I got it for my six year old and it fits perfectly. As long as he doesn't get too big, he can wear it for about a year. I also like that pads are included. Of course, these pads are designed with the needs of a young child in mind, so there is minimal protection. If your kid is a go-getter and is already doing tricks on a skateboard I would invest in thicker and better quality ones, but if it's just a regular kid falling off their bike they will work great.
